Sometimes we need dreamers that inspire us to dream with them.

This photo series acts as a card game to heal, representing what you need when you are in search of finding.

In mid-July 2020, while the rest of the world was still and quiet, I had the chance to travel to the beaches of Bacalar, Holbox and Tulum (Quintana Roo, México). Each one of these was very different from the other: you could find solitude in some of them, while in the others you were surrounded by happiness, warmth and union.

One of my best friends was living there. And what it intended to be a two-week trip, ended up becoming a three-month introspective journey. I healed and I got to know myself while enjoying from the beautiful and magical landscapes.

Each one of the photos (which were later turned into cards), were captured under different states of mind, and without imagining the possibility of being able to join them as one single photo series for the final result.

“Card Games” invites the viewer to choose the card that he/she feels more identified with in order to dream and to achieve what they need the most.

Card Games

“Sometimes we need dreamers that inspire us to dream with them, and other times, we need a glimpse of the things that are happening around us. We might need a dream or magical window to take us to the place we are expecting to go sooner or later and other times we just need luck or a good companion.
We have here six different cards that will play our will, hope or our biggest needs, in order to find release, breeze and hope.”

With love, Denisse Hurrle.
